(a) Change into Indirect Speech
Sentence: Joseph always says, “My daughter was my life.”
Joseph always says that his daughter was his life.
यहाँ reporting verb “says” present tense में है, इसलिए tense नहीं बदला। “My” को “his” में बदला गया और quotation हटाकर “that” लगाया गया।
(b) Combine the sentences (Complex Sentence)
Sentence: It was raining heavily. The school was closed.
As it was raining heavily, the school was closed.
“As” कारण बताने के लिए प्रयोग किया गया है। एक main clause और एक subordinate clause मिलकर complex sentence बनाते हैं।
(c) Change into Comparative Degree
Sentence: This is the scariest movie I have ever seen.
This movie is scarier than any other movie I have ever seen.
Scariest superlative degree है। Comparative degree में बदलते समय “than any other” का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
(d) Correct the sentence
Sentence: He was enough kind to help me.
He was kind enough to help me.
Enough हमेशा adjective के बाद आता है। इसलिए “enough kind” गलत और “kind enough” सही है।
